In the fall of 2020, Black History Month Florence (BHMF) brought The Recovery Plan, a temporary Black Cultural Centre, to the Project Room of the Museo MA*GA Gallarate. The occupation included five temporary exhibitions highlighting the work of the Black Archive Alliance as well as the Library on Loan_Reading Room featuring loaned volumes from the personal libraries of researchers and scholars working around Afro-descendant cultures and peoples.

The Book Initiative contributed to the Library on Loan with a selection of books that look at these themes through the lens of pedagogy. These titles are part of our collections and are available for consultation by request.
